Anyway... so... this year has been sucking.

I don't know if or when I'll get anything new out. Current events and other shit that's happened this year has got me doing a lot of doomscrolling and feeling bad and its fucked up my mood and productivity.

My current computer's been getting blue screens every once in a long while that I don't know if I resolved yet so I'm slightly scared to take on projects... it seems fine now? So maybe I'll try it, but making backups of the sai2 file all the while to be safe 😅

BUT I'm in the process of moving to a better computer, not *because of* the blue screens, I think that just has to do with some external device and I think I've narrowed it down to what it is. I just wanna move to a computer with more space and RAM and such. My current computer is a bit potatoey and won't fit new parts. Dunno when I'll get the that all done and situated, hopefully soon because that's got me a little anxious.

I've been a bit sapped for NSFW ideas too... even ideas I previously had I feel eh about right now.

I'll see what I can do... maybe I can do something simple... or... iunno.

So... another anti-porn/SW bill under the guise of "think of the children!" is being pushed.

I may say something that's less of an unfocused rant and actually explains all the problems the best I can later on, but I'm not feeling great and as such I'm having a bit of trouble thinking straight the moment. I'll just see what comes out of the top of my head and maybe edit this all to be better later when I have a clearer head, I just wanted to get something out there asap anyway.

This bill is a lot like SISEA in the way that it will introduce far more problems than solutions, the "solutions" are a shitty mess, it won't actually help kids and in fact could make them even less safe, the idea of "protecting kids" just being a cover to push it.

The difference being that EARN IT's issues seem even more severe, and would effect everyone, not just porn.

Concerns off the top of my head are how this bill wants to fuck with encryption,

and will actually easily make child abuse content HARDER for websites to report, I'm fuzzy on why that second one was, I'll look into it in a moment. Edit: uhhhh, I looked into it again and I don't know how to explain this concisely, so just take a look at what I linked below because it explains it better than I can.

Actual organizations that *actually* help to try and prevent CSA and/or support survivors, are *against* EARN IT.

The idea that EARN IT is to "help/protect kids" is a fucking lie. It will make kids LESS safe, even. The "think of the children!" angle is a cover to push it, they're hoping to get enough people that won't look into what it actually entails.

Oh yeah, there's also a bit of concern about who could be the authority of what is and is not appropriate. Think like how they wanna ban Maus from schools for "nudity". There is concern that things like queerness and maybe "CRT" among other things could be considered inappropriate. I don't exactly doubt it, I mean we have a few serious wackos in positions of power here in the States.

To end off since I doubt I'm explaining well and I'm probably missing some stuff, I want to just point to some places you can look for more info. Stuff that explains it better than I can.

I mentioned earlier that while SISEA "died" with the end of the 116th Congress, they could still reintroduce it into the 117th since they didn't vote either way before it ended.

Not only does that seem to be the case, but it seems they're planning on reintroducing SISEA sooner rather than later.

Edit: Okay, here's some explanation of what SISEA is and what the issues are with it, might be kinda repeated from the last time I explained:

I don't think it's been officially reintroduced just yet, but I have heard confirmation that it will soon, pay attention and contact your representatives if you can. Let them know the problems and tell them [politely] to reject SISEA, that you won't support or vote for them again if they approve SISEA.

It would be a good idea to know what ideals your reps stand for, so you know what parts if this they would care about and the parts they would not. Lead with, or maybe only say, the things they would care about.

Like, if a rep is a puritan, you probably don't want to get too defensive of SWers or porn itself- you'd have to think of something else, like emphasizing the loophole, or I've heard some people trying the violation of freedom of expression angle? Or maybe bring up the privacy violations that arise from it, maybe they'd care about that?

But if a rep is more progressive, you could bring up not only the loophole and the privacy issues, but you could bring up the concerns about LGBT+ content or even SWers. I know AOC in particular cares about SWers, I saw her post something condemning a dude for harassing a woman that went into sex work. AOC said Sex Work Is Work.

Hopefully nobody tries to claim that picking and choosing what to tell your rep to convince them is "manipulative" or anything.

Even if it is, I feel like it is entirely justified to "manipulate" your reps into rejecting a bill when that bill could cause all sorts of major issues such as effectively legalizing child porn.

As long as what you are saying is true, say whatever you want/need, and leave out whatever you want/need, in order to convince your reps to say No to SISEA.

American abuse victims, SWers, and artists alike, possibly even more people, are all at risk if SISEA succeeds.

So, the 116th Congress has ended, and SISEA has died with it. At least this iteration of it, as they could eventually reintroduce it into the 117th Congress if they wanted, only time will tell.

It did not get further than being introduced to the 116th, according to the congress.gov page on it.

Unfortunately it was not actually voted on yet as far as I know, and as such was not actually shot down yet, meaning... I think, I'm no expert on this stuff and I could be being stupid here, but I think if they were to explicitly reject SISEA then it would be dead for good? But they didn't explicitly reject it so it's not permadead.

Since they simply ran out of time for it and did not vote either way, they can eventually reintroduce it if they wished. I haven't heard anything yet on whether they have any intention of reintroducing it anytime soon, however we're only a day, not even, into the 116th Congress ending, so...

Sex workers, NSFW artists, and minors alike (I still feel sick over that loophole SISEA had) in America can breathe a sigh of relief for now. However, still continue to be on the lookout in case they do ever decide to reintroduce it.

Even if SISEA is simply delayed and not permanently dead, this still buys more time to raise hell, let your reps know the problems SISEA had, and possibly vote in better people (I don't get a lot of comments typically, but just in case, please no arguments or rudeness about anything; I've only gotten political here to inform, not to cause arguments or attract assholes).

I'm kinda pumped (hence the Crab Rave joke in the title, I've had the meme stuck in my head ever since I saw that 116th Congress didn't pass it). I've had a lot of ideas in my head and I'm thinking once I find the time I might actually have the energy to draw more NSFW.

I've apparently only uploaded two things in 2020- only one of them I even actually drew in 2020 (the first was sketches from late 2019 that I only got around to posting in early 2020), which is... uh.

I don't want to jinx anything, but I feel like this year I may be able to get more content out!

I think I'm getting out of the funk I've been in in regards to art, I have a few things coming along right now; can't say exactly when they'll be completed, but WIPs that I'm happy with so far are definitely happening.

Sorry for the lack of content. I don't have any big projects in my way anymore and as such I've been free to draw whatever now, however I haven't really had a lot of ideas or motivation for lewd stuff as of late.

Hopefully I can come up with some stuff soon and get some new content on here.

I've been pretty busy for the past couple of months and I figured I should say something real quick

First off, if I haven't said already, new tablet got here in like August, just a couple days after my birthday, works great, drivers actually cooperate with my computer, and there's buttons on the side that I configured for undoing and redoing, set keyboard shortcuts in Sai 2 for flipping the canvas and to switch the brush to erase, and configured buttons for those shortcuts.

I actually started doing that thing where you flip the canvas back and forth often to make sure it looks ok both ways, I mean I have no excuse not to anymore because I just press a button to flip around.

NOW, as for art on here, sorry I haven't gotten anything up in a while. As I said, I was busy and, aside from a brief while in November, I'll still be relatively busy until January.

I had to draw some special (sfw obviously) stuff for my Dead Rising AU, since a few days ago marked the 1 year anniversary of the Fortune City outbreak in that timeline...

Now THIS month I have another big project: The 29th of this month marks 10 YEARS since GTA The Ballad of Gay Tony released! I ain't missing this for the world, I'm working on a big thing in a similar vein to something I drew when IV turned 10 last year.

Now of course that is going to be sfw, BUT now that I think about it I kind of want to make a separate lewd thing to celebrate as well. I mean, come on, my page here is named after and constantly features Tony, I kinda have to. Probably not anything too crazy though, I haven't had a lot of ideas lately. Maybe just something cute with him in the cliche skimpy Playboy bunny type suit, idfk. Or maybe I won't go simple or cute with it, I mean I still kinda want to do that outfit and it still oughta be cute, at least in my eyes, but it's been a really long time since I've drawn anything all that explicit so I want to start doing more graphic things. His "gang-bang with a boy band" line comes to mind... though I don't know. I definitely want to do that eventually though, I just don't know of any adult-comprised boy bands in IV/EfLC so when I draw it it'll either be some offscreen guys or I'll make OCs.

I'm probably going to finish the sfw thing real early, the month just started and I'm already making good progress. I'll probably finish it with a ton of time to spare and I'll just back it up / queue it to post on my sfw pages on the 29th (You'll have to find them on your own, I try to keep my sfw and nsfw very separate).

Then I'll probably finish the lewd thing pretty early and save that to post on here and Waterfall on the 29th as well.

I have this sort of "Kinktober" prompt thing I found, I think it's actually meant for fanfiction writers but I want to use it to see if it helps me come up with scenarios to draw. Of course I'm not doing it every day in October, and I'm not going to do every prompt, and I might even spill over into November. Might screw around with that once I finish all this.

I also wanna see what I can do for Halloween maybe, lewd or not, if I have time.

November I get a bit of a break from big projects so I might go back to posting somewhat regularly.

Until December, where I have another sfw milestone thing I want to make: Happy Tree Friends turns 20 on the 24th (ignoring Banjo Frenzy at least; if you want to count that then it's already been 20 for a few months).

THEN after all that I can't think of anything I need/want to make anything big for, so I'll just go back to drawing whatever whenever and will probably post regularly here again.

It's my birthday! I'm 21 now! Also I have some things I've been doodling with my no-pressure old tablet that are coming along nicely. I really should get to sleep since it's 5AM but I can't sleep so I'll see about finishing something up real quick. New tablet has apparently not even shipped out yet, so when I said "on the way" in my last post that wasn't really an accurate way to put it.

New tablet is on the way. It's not a fucking Monoprice so I probably shouldn't have as much trouble with drivers as I've had in the past like 5-6 years that I've had this current one.

Tried screwing around to see if I could fix the errors with my current one, didn't work and now while I can use it without PFN_List_Corrupt errors, I don't have pressure. Hasn't stopped me from drawing some (sfw) stuff, lewd drawings could happen in the coming days though while I wait for the new tablet, then might happen somewhat regularly again once I get the new one, I hope. Dunno about tonight, I should get to sleep ASAP but I gotta wait for a virus scan to finish and I'm trying to do something in XNALara while I wait, might give up on that and draw tho but dunno if I'll complete anything.
